Imagine that you wanted to create an attractive and accurate genogram. To be successful you must know which shapes and symbols to use, what they mean, and how they fit together. You also need to apply good graphic design principles and know how to use your software.
Most people don't even know where to start. This is often the situation for more common types of graphics too: flowcharts, organization charts, project charts, floor plans, even flyers and certificates.
