SmartDraw 2008 eliminates the need to do any drawing whatsoever to create your project chart. Simply type in each task and SmartDraw automatically draws the bar and adds rows for you.

Set up your tasks by typing directly into the new Start, End, and Duration columns. The bars appear automatically. Change a date and the bar changes too.

You can also adjust task durations by simply clicking and dragging the bar. Need to reorder tasks? Just drag and drop. SmartDraw adjusts all the dates and task numbers automatically. And removing an entire task is as easy as selecting and deleting the bar.

With SmartDraw 2008, it's now possible to change the scale of your project chart with a single click. Change the format from weeks to months, quarters, or years by simply selecting from a dropdown list in the SmartPanel.

Mind Map view gets you started fast.
SmartDraw allows you to begin your project as a visual outline (a mind map), so you can easily plan out everything that needs to get done. Once you've mapped your project out, view it as a project (Gantt) chart with the click of a mouse. Toggle between the mind map and Gantt chart views at any time. Changes you make in one view will be reflected in the other. It's a whole new way to look at your project.
