Open Type Font is not recognized by Smart Draw VP

    Hello forum,

there is an open type font called Myriad Pro Light installed on my system (windows XP 3rd ed). For I'm using this font with a lot of my other documents I'd like to use that font in smartdraw vp also. Unfortunately this font doesn't show up in the pull down menu in smartdraw VP.

Are there any particular reasons for this behaviour? In any other windows standard software I can use this font; therefore it can't be that difficult to use it in smartdraw VP.

    Thanks for any support

    Michael

    Michael,

Many Open Type fonts require Unicode compatibility, which we do not currently support.  That is presumably why it is not showing up in the drop down list for fonts in SmartDraw.

Is there a chance smartdraw will support unicode fonts someday (in the near future)

    Michael,

We hope to, but do not have a timeline for implementation at this point.
