Adding Shapes and Symbols
Once you open your SmartTemplate of choice, you'll use the Flyers SmartPanel
to build your flyer. SmartDraw's diagram-specific SmartPanels contain the
controls and tools you need to construct that particular diagram type. You don't
have to dig through menus to find the tools you need to make a great flyer.
How to Add Shapes and Other Objects
To add a shape, click on it in the Symbol Gallery in
SmartPanel, then click again in the Work Area where you would like
to add it.
You can switch libraries by clicking the Library
Selector—the drop menu at the top of the Add Shapes
group of SmartPanel—and choosing another library.
Find more symbols by clicking Find Symbols in
SmartPanel. In the More Symbols dialog that pops up,
you can use the search bar or browse the SmartDraw symbol libraries explorer
tree to find the library you want. Once you have found it, simply double-click
on it to open it in the symbol gallery in SmartPanel.
You can add pictures or images from your own computer by clicking
Add Picture in SmartPanel. Simply browse to the
picture in your files using the dialog that pops up and click Open.
