Getting Started
Design your storage areas quickly and easily using SmartDraw. With hundreds of symbols
that you can "stamp" onto the Work Area and the ability to draw to scale, your design
will be accurate every time. SmartDraw has done all the work for you!
Create Your Storage Design Using a SmartTemplate
When you open SmartDraw, the first screen you see is the Document Browser, which
includes the SmartTemplate List on the left, the Preview Area in the middle,
and SmartHelp on the right. Near the bottom of the SmartTemplate List, click
on the Storage Design category. The Preview Area will show the
Blank Wall SmartTemplate, which you will be working with, as well as
examples.
Click on the Blank Wall SmartTemplate. All SmartTemplates, even the blank ones, have
special settings to facilitate the creation of the diagram for which they are intended.
Once you've opened the SmartTemplate, you can begin designing using the Storage
Design SmartPanel found on the left side of the Application Screen. It
contains controls specific to your designing needs so that everything you need is right
at your fingertips.
You may also use the tabs of the Main Toolbar along the top of the screen.
