Printing Your Floor Plan to Scale
The last step in creating your floor plan is either to print it or share it as an electronic document.
To print your floor plan, simply choose Print from the Application menu, or click the printer icon in the Quick Access Toolbar at the top of the window. Either control will open the Print dialog so that you can change settings before you print.
Your floor plan will automatically print using the drawing's specified scale so that you can measure lengths with a ruler even when your drawing is on paper.
For example, if you print a drawing with a 1 foot=1/4" scale, then a one inch line on the print-out will represent 4 feet.
If you want to fit your plan on a single page, you may find it more convenient to print at a smaller scale than the one you used to draw.
Do this using the Print to Scale feature found in the Print dialog. Here you can enter a new scale to use for printing only or have SmartDraw calculate the scale for you based on a percentage or page requirement you specify.
