If you're an experienced downloader, you'll find that SmartDraw works exactly like the other programs you've downloaded. If you're new to downloading, just follow these steps:

1. Starting the Download Simply click on the link (the text underlined in blue) for the file you want to download. If a window pops up asking what you want to do with the file, choose Save or Save to Disk. This will allow you to COPY the file from our server to your computer. The Save window will allow you to choose a destination directory.
   

2. Choose a Destination Directory The installation file must be saved to a directory (or folder) on your computer. We suggest saving it to your Desktop in Windows. That way you will have an icon on your desktop that you can simply double-click to install the program.

The download may take several minutes, depending on your modem speed. When the download is complete, locate the file on your computer and run it.

If You Saved SmartDraw to the Windows Desktop
Simply double-click the new "smartdraw_install" icon on your desktop to run the installation program. After the program is installed sucessfully you may want to delete this "install" icon from the desktop.

Using the Windows 'Run' command:
Choose "Run" from the Start Menu of Windows. Select "Browse" and locate the file you downloaded. Then select "Open" (or double click the file), then select "OK." The SmartDraw installation program will run.

Using Windows Explorer
Simply locate the file you downloaded and double click the file to run the SmartDraw installation program.

When the installation has finished, you'll find a shortcut to SmartDraw on your Start menu and your desktop. Just click the new shortcut to run the program. After you run the file, just follow the installation instructions.

If the Download Fails
If your download is interrupted or aborted for any reason, just return to any SmartDraw download link and start the download again. The aborted fragment is harmless and can be ignored. You can return as many times as necessary to get a complete download.
