Changing the Border of a Shape

To change the border color of a shape, click on the shape to select it. (To select several boxes, click each in turn holding Shift.)

On the Home tab, under the Shape Style group, click Line and choose a color or style.

Changing a Shape's Fill Color

You can easily change a shape's fill color to something that matches the theme you picked out for your diagram by going to the Shape Style group and choosing a color from the Quick Style command. You can also choose any color (even ones that don't necessarily match your current theme) from the Fill command in the same group.
