Aligning Graphics
Use a command under the Align menu in the Shape Layout group under the Design tab to align selected objects with a chosen Target Object. The last object you click on will have black selection handles and is called the Target Object.
First, select the objects you want to arrange. Do this by clicking on each object in turn (while holding down the Shift key).
When you use the Align menu located in the Shape Layout group under the Design tab, all the selected objects will be aligned to match the Target Object.

Resizing Graphics
To change the size or shape of any graphic you must first select it. Then click on one of the black adjustment/grow handles with the mouse.
Drag the mouse (while keeping the button pressed down) to move the handle and change the size of the object.
The handles at the corners resize the object in any dimension, while those on the top or sides resize it only vertically or horizontally.
To resize the object proportionally (without changing the ratio of width to height) hold down Shift while dragging.
Rotating Objects
A selected object also has a Rotation Handle. By dragging the rotation handle, a shape or line can be rotated to any angle.
You can also specify the degree of rotation using the Rotate menu in the Shape Layout group under the Design tab.
