Opening a Logic Diagram Template
When you start SmartDraw, you'll see the New Document dialog.

The easiest way to create a perfect-looking logic diagram is to start with one of the SmartTemplates. You'll find a Blank Logic Diagram, 4-1 Multiplexor, Auto Revsersing Circuit, Karnaugh Map, Logic Diagram, Logic Fragment, and a Logic Truth Table already pre-formatted and ready to go.

To use a SmartTemplate, simply click on it. It will open into the program screen with all the settings properly configured. Now you can easily customize text, symbols, and schematics.

The Logic Diagram SmartPanel
The SmartPanel is located to the far left of your work area. Here you will be able to Add Shapes using the symbols in the Library Gallery, Add Lines, and Add Text.

When you start off using a SmartTemplate for your diagram, the appropriate symbol library loads with the template.
