Opening a Planogram Template
When you start SmartDraw, you'll see the New Document dialog.
The easiest way to create a perfect-looking planogram is to start with one of the SmartTemplates. You'll find a Blank Planogram, Clothing Merchandising - 1, Clothing Merchandising - 2, Gardening Center, Shelf Display, and a Shelf Display Diagram already pre-formatted and ready to go.
To use a SmartTemplate, simply click on it. It will open into the program screen with all the settings properly configured. Now you can easily customize shelves, products, and text.

The Planograms SmartPanel
The SmartPanel is located to the far left of your work area. Here you will be able to Add Shapes using the symbols in the Library Gallery, Add Text, and Add Pictures.
When you start off using a SmartTemplate for your diagram, the appropriate symbol library loads with the template.
