How to Draw a Hierarchical Tree Diagram
Hierarchical web site maps resemble org charts. Place the home or index page at the top of the tree and organize the rest of the site into categories underneath. The tree branches should reflect how pages are linked to each other, providing a road map through the web site.

The easiest way to draw a hierarchical web site map in SmartDraw is by using the automatic connector line.

Drawing an Automatic Connector Line
The Automatic Connector is a special line in SmartDraw that automatically connects several shapes in evenly spaced patterns. To start a new web site map, simply drag and drop a connector from the toolbar to the page.

To draw a vertical connector line, hold down the Control key while you drag the connector to the page.
