An organizational chart (also referred to as an organization chart, org chart, organigram, or organogram) describes the structure of a company, or organization, by showing the different levels of management and their relationships. An org chart identifies the different positions within the organization, and then shows their direct subordinates in a structure very similar to that of a family tree. The highest authority of the company (for example, the President) is placed at the top of the tree, and all subordinates branch below that box based on rank.
