How to Draw Nassi-Shneiderman Diagrams in SmartDraw
SmartDraw is designed to help you draw Nassi-Shneiderman diagrams quickly and easily. You can draw these diagrams from scratch or you can use the symbols contained in SmartDraw libraries.

Start by Drawing a Table
Start any Nassi-Shneiderman diagram by drawing a table. You can do this by going to the Table menu or by clicking on the table button on the toolbar.

You can set the number of rows and columns in your table with the Format Table command under the Table menu. (SmartDraw will present this dialog box when you create your new table.)

If you don't know how many rows and columns you will need, choose 8 rows and 2 columns and modify your table later.

NOTE: It's better to have more rows than to run out of rows and find yourself unable to add extra rows because of the chart's complex formatting. You can delete any unused rows in the end.

First, enlarge your table so it fills the whole page.

To illustrate a process, select all the cells in a row and Join Cells under the Table menu.
