Creating Certificates from SmartTemplates
The easiest way to create a new certificate is by starting with a SmartTemplate.
You can find SmartTemplates on SmartDraw's Home Screen that opens every time you start SmartDraw.
If it's not already selected, click on the Certificates category and select one of the Certificate SmartTemplates.
To select a template you want, just click on its thumbnail representation to open it.

Adding Text
Each template contains text you can edit, by simply clicking on it and typing. On some examples included with SmartDraw, if you want to edit the title or description of a certificate, you may have to double-click
to enter text editing mode, but on all SmartTemplates, a single click should suffice.
Whatever you type will automatically replace the placeholder.
Changing the Certificate's Border
To change the certificate's border, select a new border from the border preview panel in the SmartPanel to the left of your work area. Double-click on the selected border or drag the border to the page to replace the
existing border with the new one.
Adding Seals and other Graphics
Enhance your certificates with seals, ribbons, and other clip art by clicking on the Add Shapes submenu and selecting Seals instead of Borders.
In the SmartPanel's preview pane, click the graphic you want to add and simply stamp it on the page.

Changing the Background Color
You can change your background color or texture by using the Background button in the SmartPanel located to the left
of your work area.
Pick a different color or add a texture or gradient.
Add a Photo
You can insert a picture or photo (such as a JPG, GIF, PNG or other bitmap image) into your drawing by choosing Add a Picture in the SmartPanel and browsing to locate the picture on your computer.
Your picture will be placed near the upper left corner of your SmartDraw certificate by default. You can then drag it to any position you like.
