Create Customized Ecomaps with SmartDraw

Add People using SmartDraw automatic commands. On the Work Area, select the person to whom you would like to add a relative. Click on a shape from SmartPanel's Add Elements Symbol Gallery, then click on one of the four Add Buttons below the gallery to add a partner to the left, a partner to the right, a child, or a parent.

Scroll down in the gallery for symbols representing carriers of various diseases.

To add a separate shape, simply select it in the gallery and then click in the Work Area where you would like to add it.

Add text to each box by clicking Add Text in SmartPanel, then clicking on the box and typing. Text is added below the boxes.

You can also add text anywhere in the background by clicking Add Text, then clicking on a blank place on the Work Area and typing.

How to Add Influence Circles and Attachments

Once the Genogram is built, you can add external influences and their relationship with the people in the center of the Ecomap.

In SmartPanel, click the Library Selector and choose Ecomap. The Ecomap Symbol Library will appear in the gallery below. Click on a symbol in the gallery, then click in the Work Area where you would like to add it.
