Create Eye-Catching Flyers and More with SmartDraw

Draw lines using the Line tool found in the Home tab. Click the arrow below it to display a menu of different line types you can draw. Once you've selected a line type, your cursor becomes a pencil icon. Simply click in the Work Area, then drag to draw the line, and release when you're done.

You can add text inside shapes, along lines, or in the background. Click Add Text in SmartPanel. Next click wherever you would like to add the text and begin typing.

When you add text to the background, it becomes a Background Text Object which you can treat just like any other object.

How to Manipulate Objects

To move an object, click on its border and drag it to a new position. You can also click on it and use the arrow keys to move the object pixel by pixel.

To resize an object start by clicking on the object you wish to resize. Once selected click and drag one of the black selection handles increase or decrease the objects size. You can also hold the Shift key while using the arrow keys to resize the object a small amount.

Each object contains a Rotation Handle when selected. To rotate the selected object click on the rotation handle, and then drag your mouse in a circular motion until the object is in the desired position.
