SmartDraw's site license owners now have new administrative controls that make it easy to
A site license allows everyone in your organization to use SmartDraw on any platform for a fixed annual cost that starts at $2,995. It is SmartDraw's most popular multiple user license, and now comes with the full administrative control you would expect from an enterprise quality product like SmartDraw. Get more information here.
SmartDraw's site license lets administrators control how users can access and interact with their SmartDraw installation and SmartDraw Cloud accounts.
Administrators can change the email address and password required to access any account and its documents. You can also easily transfer the account and its documents to the email address of another person in your organization.
In general SmartDraw on the desktop and SmartDraw Cloud work hand in hand letting users easily create and edit documents both online and offline without having to email themselves files. If your organization requires all work to be behind the firewall, as a site license administrator, you can prevent any installed version of SmartDraw for Windows from loading files from or saving files to SmartDraw Cloud. You can also prevent users from accessing SmartDraw Cloud completely using your license.
If you want users to be able to work on diagrams using the Cloud, but you don't want them to be able to share them by embedding them on public blogs or emailing them to users outside of the site license, you can turn off just the sharing feature of SmartDraw Cloud.
Administrators can control access to SmartDraw by either restricting the email addresses that can access a cloud account to a specific set of domains that you control or even more tightly restricting access to a specific set of email addresses that you supply. At any time, you can lock any specific email address out of access.
From time to time SmartDraw Software may release an updated version of SmartDraw for Windows. By default these versions are automatically downloaded and installed to each desktop. However, as an enterprise user you may choose to restrict this and roll out patches manually to ensure all users are kept at the same patch level.
Administrators can supply any existing trial account in the organization with a site license key that will transfer that account along with any documents under your umbrella of control. Users can even transfer an existing licensed account to the site license by logging in to their account and transferring their license to the email address that controls the corporate site license.
If you are an existing site license user, please contact your SmartDraw representative to enable the administrative controls for your account.
