Sync Azure DevOps with SmartDraw

SmartDraw makes it easy to add Azure DevOps work items to your workspace so your team can plan, prioritize, and make decisions about development using the most up-to-date information.

Your team can create new Azure work items right from SmartDraw, update any imported ones, and keep everything in sync easily.

Sync Azure DevOps to SmartDraw

Import an Existing Work Item

To import a work item, choose the Azure DevOps data visualizer from the + menu or Integrations on the Dashboard. After logging into your Azure account, you can search for and select a work item to add to your diagram. Your imported work item will be added to SmartDraw as a single card that displays its type (bug, feature, issue, etc.), ID, priority, state, title, and who it's been assigned to. You'll have all the info you need from Azure DevOps at your fingertips while brainstorming, planning, whiteboarding, or making a technical diagram.

Create a New Azure Work Item

Turn any idea added during a brainstorm into a task.

If a new issue or tasks come up while collaborating with your team in SmartDraw, you can add a new issue or bug into Azure DevOps right from SmartDraw. This will also add a new issue or bug to your Azure DevOps project. Click Create New Work Item in the first dialog of the Azure DevOps data visualizer and choose your organization and project. Next, select the type of work item you want to add. Assign it to a team member, set the priority, and write a short summary of the item.

Any imported or created work item can also be updated and synced with Azure DevOps at any time.

Stay aligned. Stay current. Make smarter decisions, faster.
