Generate Azure Diagrams from Data

SmartDraw's Azure data visualizer lets you import your Azure data and automatically generate a diagram of your Azure architecture.

Open the Azure Network Diagram Visualizer

Click the + icon to switch the SmartPanel into the Insert Content view.

Once on the Insert Content view, select the Add Data Visualizer section and click on Azure Network Diagram.

Connect to Your Azure Account

If this is your first time running the Azure Import, you will be prompted to either approve or get approval for the SmartDraw Azure Import Integration to be authorized for your Azure resources.

If your Microsoft account is in the admin group for your Entra ID, check the "Consent on behalf of your organization" box, then click Accept.

Import Your Azure Data

Once the SmartDraw connection has been approved, you'll simply be asked to login to Azure using your Microsoft credentials.

After logging in, choose the appropriate Subscription ID from your account and click Import Data. SmartDraw will parse your data. As a final step, you can select which resource groups to include in your visual and then click to Generate Report to create your visual.

The generated diagram will contain a visual representation of your Azure architecture. You can click on the blue info icons to get more technical specs about each component.
